The Butterfly Patch

As COVID and the cost of living continued to impact our community members, the need was identified to establish an edible garden that could contribute to our many and varied food programs and provide food security for individuals in need. 🦋

The Butterfly Patch was established to fill the void that was left by the relocation of Green Thumbs Nursery. The Butterfly Patch focuses on fresh, seasonal produce grown and is tended and harvested by volunteers. 🦋

As the garden continues to grow, we are continuously look for new volunteers/garden gurus. The garden has been designed for ease of access and use so no hard labour is required. Gardening tasks may include watering, harvesting, fertilizing, planting, etc. 🦋
